In deze evenement gaan twee generaties met elkaar in gesprek over de belangrijke film ‘Down to Earth’. De film gaat over een Nederlands echtpaar met hun drie jonge kinderen die hun kosmopolitische leven achter zich laten en reizen naar de uiteinden van de aarde af op zoek naar een nieuw perspectief op het leven. Tijdens hun vijfjarige reis over zes continenten leven ze samen met enkele van de oudste inheemse gemeenschappen op de planeet. Ze krijgen toegang tot tribale sages die nog nooit eerder zijn gefilmd of geïnterviewd, zonder crew of schema, slechts één rugzak en één camera per stuk. En de nieuwsgierigheid om te luisteren. DOWN to EARTH is een spiegel voor de mensheid, een aangrijpende en actuele reflectie op onze beschaafde wereld. De film nodigt ons uit om de wereld te zien door de ogen van de Wisdom Keepers. Het neemt ons mee op een innerlijke reis en verbindt ons met de bron en het pad dat we samen bewandelen. DOWN to EARTH is zowel een wake-up call als een bron van hoop voor onze toekomstige wereld.

Derek Lomas is a professor of Positive AI at TU Delft and a passionate innovator in human-centered design. His work probes the harmony between AI and human cognition, with a special emphasis on the interaction of music and the mind. As the visionary behind Playpower Labs and NeuroUX, he's transforming how we perceive education technology and psychological assessments.

The Embassy of the Free Mind is a new international platform that harnesses spirituality, science, art, culture, music and storytelling to promote and share free thought. Located in the majestic 17th-century House with the Heads on Amsterdam’s Keizersgracht, the Embassy combines a range of functions: knowledge centre, international meeting place, study room, café and a living room of Amsterdam.
